Dinosaur National Monument

Oh Dear!  I am terribly behind in my updating!  I’ve been distracted by getting back to work and other daily distractions.  Since the dogs were at the doggie day care they are more restless now then they were before and are requiring a lot of attention.  Not to mention catching up with daily chores (laundry, yard work, etc.) and catching up at work.

Today we got to do some riding.  After going to the dog park, grocery shopping, and making gazpacho out of the booster crop of tomatoes out of the back yard, we rode up past Fort Ancient to the Spillway Lodge for dinner.  It felt really good to ride my big heavy K75RT again.  Quite a sharp contrast to that roaring skeleton of an R50.  We had a Lovely ride.

Anyway, I still haven’t posted about our exciting drive home from Bonneville!

So we slept in the night after the party.  Then we went to check out the pics by the official photographer.  They had parked their trailer behind our hotel.  They said they would be taking orders and printing pictures beginning at 9am.  We got there at 10am and they were just setting up.  By the time we picked out our pictures and they printed them it was 1:00.  So we got a late start that day.  Bummer.

By the time we got to Dinosaur National Monument the visitor center was closed.  Bummer!  But we did find a driving tour we could take.  Wow!  What amazing scenery!  The mountains!  The petroglyphs!  The river!   The homestead!  definitely a worthy stop on our trip.  There is not enough room on this blog to post all the amazing pictures.
