Bike Night at the Comet, 10/20/09

So it looks like Bike Night at the Comet is slowing down for the season.  Bike Night used to be packed, but as the weather is getting cooler fewer people are riding out.  Some of the neighborhood regulars were there and there were a few non-regulars there too.  Check out this Triumph Chopper.  I haven’t seen this bike before.  Very fun.

If you have never been to the Comet, it’s our neighborhood dive.  The owner is really into scooters and motorcycles.  Bike Night is Tuesdays.  Thursdays used to be Scooter Night.  It’s been so long since I’ve been there on the Thursday that I don’t know if they are doing Scooter Night anymore.  Anyway, the inside of the Comet looks a lot like a coffee house.  They have live bands several nights a week.  They are famous for their Juke Box, it has won City Beat awards for being the Most Diverse Juke Box in town.  They have a limited menu with Burritos, Quesidillas, Soft Tacos, or Chili con Queso.  (I love their jerked tofu burritos.)  The Comet is alos famous for its beer selection.  They have over 100 different kinds of bottled beer.  They also have 7 different beers on draft.  They always have Guiness.  Tonight they also had Southern Tier PumKing, Southern Tier Harvest Ale,  Two Brothers Domaine du Paige , Bells Oberon, and Rouge Amber.   If you like interesting beer, this is the place to go.
