Great Visit with Dad and Marilyn

Dad and Marilyn came to visit this weekend.  What a great visit.  They arrived on Friday, and Eric wowed us all by cooking a fabulous dinner.  He made broiled salmon and topped it with a fabulous red wine mushroom sauce.  He served it with wild rice, asparagus, and a salad.

Saturday we did a lot of walking.  Dad and Marilyn plan to do a trip out west to the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park, Moab, etc.  Marilyn was saying she wants to be sure she is in shape before she goes.  So we walked down to Melt for lunch, then we walked to Autobahn so that they could meet Len, then we walked home.  Then we went to the Krohn Conservatory, Eden Park, then shopping and dinner in Mt. Adams.  We had dinner at Teak.

Waiting for a table at Teak

Teak has a lovely patio and a huge menu.  Dinner was fabulous.  We did more walking after dinner and found a lovely little church called “The Church of the Steps.”  It had a lovely view of the river.  After all that walking we were pretty tired so we went home and sat on the porch and relaxed until bedtime.

Sunday morning we got up and made brunch, then Dad and Marilyn were back on the road again.  Quick little visit, but much fun.
