Reds Game

Eric took me to my first Reds game Friday.  He got free tickets from work for the CBTS Technology Pavillion.  The Reds were playing the Pirates.

The CBTS Technology Pavillion is shaped like a riverboat.

Technology Pavillion had a great view

What a great way to watch the game.  On level one it was inside and air-conditioned.  It had a great view of the field through huge tinted glass windows.   They usually give tech presentations before the game, so there were plenty of tables and chairs both for watching the presentation and so you could eat while watching the game.  There was free food, too.  Hot dogs, bar-b-que, mac & cheese, pasta salad, cole slaw, salad, cookies, popcorn, pretzels, peanuts.  They also had a full bar.

We ate our food and got a couple of beers and then headed up the stairs to level two.  Level two is all outside, it had another bar, more of the same food.  Lots of tables and chairs, and a great view of everything.  There were also several TV’s with the game on.  We could not hear all the loud music and noise that they had in the stadium below.  This is a sort-of crowded and not-so-loud spot to enjoy the game.

Lovely sunset over the stadium

The weather was perfect. We left a little early so we didn’t have to sit in a traffic jam, but at the bottom of the 8th inning the Reds were ahead 3 to 1.  Poor Pittsburgh was having a bad day.
