Eventually we got tired of riding in the rain and decided to stop for the night.  It was miles sooner than we had planned, but it was getting late and we were hungry.  So we decided to stop at a place called Skyland.

Skyland is a National Park Resort with quite a history.  It was first established in 1886 and has been through many changes over the years.  Now they have lodge rooms and cabins, a nice restaurant and a bar.  Every room has an amazing view.  There are hiking trails and horseback riding.  The deer are not afraid of people and continue grazing as you walk by.

  1. Really nice pics! I never stayed at the lodge, just had lunch at the restaurant.
