Brims Private Collection

The Greater Cincinnati BMW Motorcycle Club went on a ride to Brims this weekend.  It was a lovely day, the first in quite a while.  It was nice to be on the bike again.  We rode out to Kenton, OH and visited Brims Auto Imports.  It’s a used car dealership, and they did have some nice cars for sale on the lot.  They had a Miata I liked… but that is not why were were there.  The owner of the dealership likes to collect things, especially old motorcycles and interesting cars.  He had three building full!  I forgot to take my camera, so I had to take pictures with my phone.  This is a bummer, since it was quite dark in one of the buildings was quite dark and the flash on my phone camera was completely inadequate.

This guy had so many bikes… and each one had a story.  Unfortunately we missed out on the stories for most of them.  But here are a few pictures:

Drooling over all those bikes made us pretty hungry.  We headed over to Indian Lake for lunch.  We rode past the Tilton Hilton, but it was packed, we rode past Froggy’s and it was packed too.  We went around the corner and Acheson’s had room for us.  They are a neat little bar/restaurant on the water.  There were several pontoon boats pulled right up to the restaurant.  One of them was had caution tape that said “wild girls” and was full of skinny 20-something-year-olds in sun dresses and bikinis.  They didn’t get wild while we were there, but I think some of the old guys in the club liked watching them anyway.  There was live music, and the food was pretty good too.
