Racing on the salt

I originally started this blog because we were going to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah to do some land speed racing.  There were so many people who wanted to know all about the trip, I figured the best way to keep people updated was to blog it.  For a complete account of the trip, start here: https://adventuresofjessieanderic.wordpress.com/2009/08/31/wendover/

and click through the posts in order.

  2. So awesome, I’m jealous!!

  3. Awesome blog and a sweet Beemer! Glad to see that someone still uses those old boxers for something ballsier than going to the coffee shop 🙂

    • Thank you!

  4. That’s awesome!!! You did something I have dreamed of doing. Guess I just need to do it, but gotta find the bike to run it on first…I don’t believe my new Versys is the bike. 😉

    • Thank you, Donna. We had a great time. There is nothing like it! I don’t recommend taking any bike on the salt unless you really like working on bikes. The salt gets into everything and you can’t just wash it off. You have to take the bike apart and scrub it. Otherwise, go! Have a blast! At BUB the “Run What You Brung” class lets you ride any bike you want, and you can wear your street gear instead of special race gear.
